Peek-a-Boo and Quantum Optical Delusions
I LOVE THIS GAME!
When I peek, you hold still,
a quantum particle playing with my mind.
When I pay you no mind, you are gone,
a quantum wave eluding my mind.
When I say "Boo!" you freeze and stare back.
in wonder?
in fright?
in recognition of delight!
AURORA BOREALIS IS OUR COSMIC CONNECTION, one that can free us from the good/evil paradigm and heal our connection to a vibrant, changing universal being. As alchemists for change, the stars and our nerve cells mirror each other, the current upheavals on Earth reflecting our growth. Let's engage the aurora borealis as a cosmic synapse to co-create a gentle transition from the "Me ness" of youth to the "We ness" of maturity and support cosmic change.

The three second COSMIC HUG: Join in creating global synchronicity!
King on the Mountain
Who’s king on the mountain in your life? A brutal game we play as children, destroys the joy and prepares us for ‘life’. In case you don’t know the game, it goes like this: Someone climbs to the highest point. There’s only one high point in this game and it’s occupied by the ‘king.’ If you want to be king, you climb and fight for the position. And so our illusory climb to the ‘top’ begins and we play it out in this, our competitive society. Some o...f us sit at the bottom and wish the climbers luck. We are the disillusioned. Sometimes we even play it out in our ‘loving’ relationships. You got it, it’s a power trip ..er climb.
Must be better up there, right? Well… yeah, there’s plenty of food, space, choices…choices! Choices! Choices!! So let’s call up the imagination that saved us when we were little. We’re sitting at the bottom, looking up. And there are billions of us and only 1% of ‘them.’ We each take one grain of dirt, only one grain mind you, from the mountain. One grain of dirt contains the whole universe, remember? We knew this fact as children and now scientists are even saying 'well, uh, yeah.' There’s plenty of dirt in one mountain for every single one of us. We each stand up on our one grain of dirt and look around. Where did the mountain go? Each of us new billionaires now has one grain and each sees his/her neighbor eye to eye. Where’s the king? Oh, my, she’s now the queen, mother earth, and lives in every heart on every grain of dirt.
Give yourself a three-second hug every morning. Stand on your grain of dirt and include the earth. Include the universe. See what happens.

THE GOOD/EVIL
PARADIGM
So long as we subscribe to the notion of good and
evil in the world, we imprison ourselves in what Einstein called an “optical
delusion of awareness.” We hold ourselves separate from others to protect
ourselves and in doing so tighten the chains of our own captivity. Instead, Einstein argues for increasing our
“circles of compassion” to include all of life and nature. I would extend that out to the very cosmos
that holds and nurtures our existence.
We are not truly separate from the ‘other’ and to think and act as
though we are generates more difficulties than a coon in can.
But how do we do this? How do we break this vicious cycle of
‘meaness.’ First I suggest we take
another gander at the word ‘meanness’ and recognize it as simply the ‘me-ness’
of the two-year-old. We are quite young
and so is our universe. Let’s give
ourselves a break, drop our judgments, and find our way through this maze we
have created, from the ‘me-ness’ of the two-year-old to the ‘we-ness’ of the
three-year-old. So here’s the catch: even if we could do this theoretically,
how do we do it in practice?
The two-year-old needs our love and guidance. Life is too exciting and we don’t want to put
a damper on exploration. Let’s don’t
kill the spirit! The child also needs
our patience and understanding.
Vulnerable to being called a ‘bad’ child, he (she) MUST try his wings,
bumping into windows and recording all feedback in his mind and heart. We protect the child, model good self-care,
and know that this developmental stage is VITAL to a full and free entry into the
more inclusive heart of the three-year-old.
Now read the above from the perspective of a nation,
our nation. Our country is merely a toddler in earth time. We have all watched toddlers who can’t let go
of their hord of toys. Sometimes we get
stuck right there. Maybe we weren’t
allowed to feel the rage that comes with being deprived of a toy or never got
the feedback that leads to loving the self.
Only the individual can know the source of that behavior. This is the 1% who now control the wealth of
this world, and many of the rest of us….stuck!
They are not the ‘bad’ guys, they are just stuck in the terrible twos. They
are now vulnerable to the wrath of the other toddlers, the rest of us. They are vulnerable, not bad.
We can use this same analogy for religion where each
claims to have the answer. Each needs to
be right and in control. I am not
screaming “Grow Up!” although I am sometimes tempted by that emotion. Practicing it just doesn’t work. If you think I am trying to shame anyone, you
miss my point. Perhaps you were shamed
as a toddler. The real point is that we
are not truly separate, as our scientists have made eminently clear. But we NEED to move through that two-year-old
phase of separation in order to freely enter the heart, enter the ‘we-ness’ of
our community. The 1% hold themselves
apart, a sad fact for all of us.
Religions hold themselves apart, a sad fact for all of us.
The heart seems to be the one place to which all of
humanity links freely; but our “circles of compassion” are too restricted to
create the world we all want for ourselves and our loved ones. Some of our scientists are discovering the
power of attention and intention. I
think these are wonderful tools for breaking free of our “optical delusion of
awareness.”
I suggest we engage in a COSMIC HUG: Give yourself a three-second hug every
morning. Include the earth and the universe.
See what happens.
