Through sixty-three years of living, loving, and getting lost, I have remembered several amazing events. One is a childhood apparition and the promise it conveyed. Mother Mary visited me when I was about six years old. I was kneeling on my mother’s bed, feet curled up under me when I saw her above the headboard. She told me that through my pain I would bring a message to this world. Mary might have been the Buddha or Muhammed, but I was a little Catholic girl. So Mary was Mary. Although I always remembered her visit as a kind of curious childhood affair, I closed my eyes to its significance until an evolutionary energy called Kundalini opened them again in the year 2000.
When own my children were very young, I crashed physically and then discovered how to unwind myself on my basement floor remembering a forgotten past. I simply stretched out spread-eagle, closed my eyes, and allowed my body to move until it stopped spontaneously. At those points, my personal black holes, I experienced an explosion of knowing, of seeing, hearing, and re-living childhood trauma. Craniosacral therapists will recognize the process as unwinding, my black holes as energy cysts. My deeply contracted body relaxed as I remembered and healed. I regained full flexibility and reconnected with my dad around a fuller view of his humanity. Forty years later I unwound Kundalini, an evolutionary energy which has been imaged as a snake coiled at the base of the spine, and reached back further into my past, into our past. In meditation, I now saw, heard, and re-lived an experience of creation and evolution. Kundalini was the glorious vehicle for the fruition of Mother Mary’s promise to me.
Through Creating Evolution I reveal my view of the mind’s eye as a simple fractal structure that manifests everywhere and all the time holding creation and connecting it with full potential aka God, Allah, the Tao, Spirit, the Nameless, the One, Source. In the text, I refer to the One as Source or God. During meditations, I call the One Self because I think I have simply connected with the deepest channels of my own being where it meets the Oneself.
