Two days after the book signing, a reader contacted me to say her sister-in-law, who was visiting from out of town, told her a baffling
story. She had seen a man in a parking lot training his birds. She was amazed that he was in some random parking lot and that he was training his birds, but mostly that no one seemed to care, to notice, or react.
If you have read the second story in my book, "Done, done, done and Michael comes," you will recognize the parallels and remember... that I wondered if the man I saw was a visual hallucinaton since he told me he'd come to my parking lot for two months and I was the first person who had approached him.

I concluded that the experience was simply an affirmation that our eyes are opening to visions we couldn't previously see, like red and green in the same space at the same time. That should be impossible, but it is happening. And, I'm not alone in seeing this man named Michael. Crazy wonderful!
